Tinplate Traditions
M.T.H. has made
Standard and O Gauge tinplate reproduction trains for twenty years.
M.T.H. founder Mike Wolf says these trains are his favorites; he appreciates
the artistry found in the colors and shapes of these unusual engines
and cars. Tinplate trains are made of stamped or die-cast metal, generally
boasting bright, colorful enamel paint, and they are not meant to be
accurate reproductions of real trains. Standard and O Gauge tinplate
trains, like those in the M.T.H. Tinplate Traditions line, have become
highly sought after collectors' items. M.T.H.'s Tinplate Traditions
line provides collectors who cannot afford the thousands of dollars
it takes to acquire a pre-World War II original access to faithful,
high quality, and highly detailed reproductions of these beautiful tinplate
trains.
